Are Barrier Bags Tamper Evident?

Yes! All but two of our 8th mylar bags are tamper evident bag options, which is becoming a nationwide standard for hemp packaging. Just as it makes sense to have tamper evident labels on almost ALL food products these days (think about it; everything from your gallon of milk to your new jar of cumin has a tamper evident label/cap/ring on it), it makes sense to have tamper evident labels on hemp products, which are also being ingested.

The only two 3.5 gram bags we carry that are NOT tamper evident are the two ASTM certified child resistant flat barrier pouches, ironically. However, depending on your state’s exact requirements, you can use our tamper evident label stickers to make these 8th bags tamper evident. If placed across the plastic resealable zipper top, it would have to be broken (tampered with) to be opened.

While tamper evident mylar bags wholesale were created to keep prying customers out of un-purchased products, it also helps act as yet another moisture barrier for the flower within. Heat sealing mylar bags makes them extra effective moisture barrier packaging, which you can’t do with our ASTM CR certified 3.5 gram mylar bags.
