We use clamshell blister packaging, which is hinged at one end and has buttons that clasp along the other three sides. Clamshell blister packaging is a great way to both proudly display and securely protect your valuable concentrate products.

What Is Clam Packaging?

Clam packaging, well-known as “clamshell packaging,” is a type of blister packaging. A clamshell case typically has two plastic sides connected by a hinge and plastic button claps along the other three edges (or at least opposite from the hinge). The name is an adage to the hardy, tightly collapsed clamshells in nature. Clamshell packaging is used in all industries from cannabis (cart packaging) to agriculture (berries).

How to Seal Clamshell Packaging

Clamshell packaging typically has small plastic buttons (convex/concave parts that fit tightly together) that hold it shut. There is clam packaging out there that can be heat sealed, but ours doesn’t need to be.
