All packages need to be tamper-proof to guarantee consumers that they were delivered in the original state the producer intended. The liner does not need any heat source to be applied to a container. It is a pressure sensitive seal, so once it is pressed against the container, it makes it tamper proof. The durable material also seals all air pathways, so it makes the jar airtight and odor-proof.
