Pop Top Bottles FAQ

What Is A Pop Top?

A pop top is a simple plastic container with a hinged lid that pops open when you squeeze the sides below the cap. This feature (often) makes them child resistant (all of our pop tops are child resistant). Because of this common compliance feature and their optional opaque color varieties, pop tops are a common dispensary choice for packaging flower and capsules.

How Do You Open Pop Top Bottles?

To open a pop top bottle, pinch on either side just below the cap and squeeze. The lid will pop open on its hinge.

What Sizes Of Pop Top Bottles Are Available?

We carry the following dram sizes/flower capacities of pop tops:

How Do You Test For Child Resistance On Pop Top Bottles?

Child resistant packaging is tested and certified by the ASTM and CPSC. In order to qualify as child resistant, packaging must be “constructed to be significantly difficult for children under five years of age to open within a reasonable time, and not difficult for normal adults to use properly.” That definition is actually borrowed from the Poison Prevention Packaging ACT (PPPA, est. 1970). Containers are tested in controlled environments where real young kids are asked to attempt to open them.

Are Pop Top Bottles Smell Proof?

Our pop top bottles provide excellent protection and discretion for customers, but they, unfortunately, cannot block all wafting aromas. That being said, our mylar exit bags are popular to pair with pop top containers because they ARE smell proof. The nice thing about mylar bags is that customers can keep and reuse them over and over, so if they buy one from your shop they can also buy your pop tops, pop them in their very own mylar bag, and not have to worry about that famously pungent scent.
